Built on Trust.
Proven
in Practice.
Since 1887, Getronics has been helping organisations make sense of every major technology shift, from electrical infrastructure to AI-enabled enterprise IT. We enable you to run, secure, and scale critical technology with confidence, backed by global reach, local understanding, and long-term relationships built on consistency and accountability.
More Than a Technology Provider
Getronics began in Amsterdam in 1887, as Electrotechnical Factory N.V. by Groeneveld, van der Pol & Co. (GVPC), supporting the electrical installations that helped public facilities and shipping operate reliably. That origin still shapes who we are. We work with technology that customers depend on, and we treat that responsibility with care.
Our story has moved from electricity to computer networking, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, workplace technology, and AI-enabled enterprise operations. The technologies have changed. Our role has stayed consistent: helping customers understand, run, protect, and improve critical systems.
Customers choose Getronics because we offer another route between large consultancy-led providers and smaller regional players. We stay closely embedded in customer operations, keep accountability clear, and bring the global delivery model to support international work without losing local understanding.
We are proud to bring more than 135 years of technology heritage to the organisations we support today. Our history, values, leadership, ESG work, office locations, careers, and Global Workspace Alliance show the organisation behind our services, how we work, what we stand for, and why customers trust us over time
1887
Born in Amsterdam in 1887 as an electrotechnical factory, Getronics has continuously reinvented itself from electrical installations and computer peripherals to becoming one of Europe's largest IT service companies.
1999
A landmark 1999 acquisition of Wang Global, active in 42 countries, transformed Getronics into a truly global player, followed in 2009 by the founding of the Global Workspace Alliance, recognised by Gartner as the world's first IT Alliance.
2007
Listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange, acquired by KPN for €766 million in 2007, and subsequently owned by AURELIUS and Grupo Bottega, Getronics has operated at enterprise scale for decades, today running under Cheyne Capital.

Global Reach With a Close Customer Model
Getronics is built by people who stay close to the organisations they support. Our teams bring technical skill, curiosity, and care to long-term customer relationships, learning how each business works and communicating openly along the way. We value judgement, accountability, and consistency because customers rely on us for technology that supports their people, operations, and daily decisions.
Meet the Organisation Behind the Service
We offer global scale with the personal accountability of a partner who stays close. We bring the reach and capability of a global IT services company, with the embedded relationships and end-to-end ownership that mean your technology actually works for your business, your people, and your customers.

Independent recognition and certifications show the high standards behind our work. Getronics has been recognised in the Gartner® 2025 Magic Quadrant™ for Outsourced Digital Workplace Services (ODWS) for the fifth time and named a Leader in the UK by ISG in its 2025 Provider Lens™ Report for Cybersecurity – Services and Solutions. Our certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 22301, show the same focus in day-to-day operations: quality, service management, information security and IT service continuity.

Getronics has adapted with every major technology shift, but our underlying role has stayed consistent. We have always worked with infrastructure that organisations depend on. That history shapes our character today. We do not chase every new trend. We focus on reliability, accountability, careful judgement, and the responsibility that comes with running and securing critical technology.

AI creates new possibilities, but enterprise value still depends on trust, partnership, governance, and operational discipline. Getronics brings the steadiness customers look for when technology moves quickly. We help them apply AI where it can improve service, security, insight, and productivity, while keeping people, accountability, and real business outcomes at the centre of every decision.

Enterprise clients work across countries, sites, users, and suppliers. Getronics combines regional service presence with the Global Workspace Alliance, extending support through a trusted partner network across more than 185 countries. Customers get worldwide workplace and field service capability through a coordinated model, with clearer ownership and the local knowledge to support people wherever they work.

Trust also depends on how we take responsibility as a business. Getronics’ ESG work reflects the standards behind our customer relationships, from environmental action and responsible sourcing to inclusion, education, governance, and ethical conduct. Customers can expect a partner that embeds environmental responsibility, ethical conduct, and social commitment into the way we work, not as a separate agenda, but as part of every engagement.

A partner built for change
Founded in 1887, Getronics has successfully navigated every major technology shift – from early electrical systems to today's AI-driven environments. Few technology companies sustain relevance across multiple technology cycles; Getronics has done so consistently. For our clients, this means a partner that is:
- Financially stable
- Operationally resilient
- Built to adapt
- Focused on consistent delivery and long-term value
Getronics remains focused on delivering consistent outcomes and supporting our clients as their business evolves.

Operational and business continuity
Getronics helps organisations maintain resilient operations in increasingly complex digital environments. Our approach to business continuity extends beyond recovery planning alone. We focus on identifying hidden operational risks early, strengthening continuity across critical services and helping customers build resilience into everyday operations.
Modern disruption is not always caused by large-scale incidents. Increasingly, operational impact originates from smaller vulnerabilities that are difficult to detect until they begin affecting performance, security or customer experience. These can include overlooked dependencies, configuration weaknesses, fragmented processes or gaps between systems, suppliers and teams.
Our role is to help customers reduce this exposure through proactive governance, resilient service design and operational visibility.
01
Continuity built into operations
Business continuity at Getronics is embedded across our delivery, security and operational frameworks. We combine technology expertise with governance, monitoring and support capabilities designed to help organisations:
- Reduce operational risk
- Strengthen service resilience
- Improve response readiness
- Maintain continuity during disruption
- Support long-term operational stability
This approach allows customers to respond faster to incidents while reducing the likelihood and impact of disruption over time.
02
Security, risk and operational resilience
As digital environments become more interconnected, resilience increasingly depends on the ability to identify risks before they escalate. Getronics supports this through integrated approaches spanning:
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud and infrastructure services
- Service management
- Monitoring and automation
- Governance and compliance
- IT service continuity (disaster recovery)
Our global delivery capability and operational experience help organisations maintain visibility and control across critical environments while adapting to changing business and technology demands.
03
Long-term operational confidence
Founded in 1887, Getronics has supported organisations through multiple generations of technological and operational change. That experience continues to shape how we help customers build resilient operations capable of adapting to evolving threats, increasing complexity and changing business expectations.
Today, resilience is not only about recovering from disruption. It is about designing environments that are prepared for continuous change.
