From new facilities of the Security Operations Centre in Barcelona and a reinforced team of 30 experts, the company provides 24×7 cybersecurity support to businesses worldwide
Getronics inaugurated this week the new facilities of its Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Barcelona, with a couple of open-door sessions where a selected group of clients and representatives from our partners HUB Security and LogRhythm visited the offices and participated in a series of cybersecurity talks, featuring expert Erik Westhovens.
Getronics' Security Operations Center continued its operations uninterrupted during the event.
In doing so, Getronics establishes Barcelona as its global security hub and significantly expands its capabilities to support companies worldwide in achieving their security and compliance challenges. In addition to the renewed facilities, the expert team has been reinforced, and strategic alliances with a mature partner ecosystem have been consolidated to offer a comprehensive 360-degree approach to cybersecurity.
The event was a great opportunity to bring together global leaders of our organization, security experts, partners, and clients, turning into a networking day focused on this important field that Getronics is clearly investing in for the future.
Located in Barcelona’s 22@ district, Getronics’ Security Operations Centre serves as a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), providing 24×7 global service. The main objective of the SOC is to monitor organizations’ cybersecurity operations and compliance objectives through a range of services, with special emphasis on Threat Lifecycle Management (TLM) and, above all, detection and response.

Key services of the Security Operations Centre
In its commitment to cybersecurity, new work models, innovation, and customer proximity, the Barcelona Security Operations Centre has a team of nearly 30 security experts dedicated to monitoring, assessing, and proactively responding to any type of attack (24×7). These services complement the offerings provided by the company to help design, build, and manage organizations’ security infrastructure, minimizing their exposure to risks and protecting their businesses.
During the opening event, Yolanda de Prado, General Manager of Getronics Iberia, stated, “Our qualified staff and our experience in security operations provide a dynamic and cost-effective security service that can be quickly deployed. The services we offer from the SOC are fully accredited according to ISO27001:2013 and are subject to an internal and external review and audit program to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement of the required standards. We have a flexible consultative approach and a framework designed to capture the client’s specific requirements and needs.“

All services offered are designed to be fully aligned with NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), as well as fully integrated with Getronics’ SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) for threat detection workflows. Thus, the SOC’s services include the following:
- SIEM-based monitoring for improved security posture and compliance requirements
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) for strong protection against ransomware and other modern threats
- Network Detection and Response (NDR) for visibility of lateral movement, data exfiltration, & network-borne threats
- Threat Intelligence services including dark web monitoring, brand intelligence, supply chain intelligence & much more
- Vulnerability Management with risk-based prioritization of remediation for best return on effort
- Firewall Assurance to provide a single pane of glass across all technologies for access and configuration compliance Management
Getronics’ cybersecurity threat intelligence is used to inform and guide many of the services and provide efficient cross-referencing of security events with known indicators of compromise (IOC) and attacker behavior.
This combination of services is tailored to meet client compliance requirements and utilizes a structured approach to ensure cost-effectiveness through a security operations maturity model backed by a configuration management framework.
“At Getronics, we advocate for a Secure-by-Design approach, which is a better and more integrated approach to cybersecurity, where security is integrated into the structure of organizations. From infrastructure to applications and workplace design, our Secure-by-Design solutions provide companies with the security and peace of mind they need“, concluded de Prado.
